Here’s just some of the events we are all looking forward to, including ghostly trips, fireworks, and Christmas activities. A big shout out to Alloa First for keeping us all up to date on events that are happening here in our home town of Alloa.
This Saturday there is the opportunity to climb the stairs of the ancient Alloa Tower and hear stories from the lady in black or grisly tales from the executioner. Are you brave enough? 12-3 PM, ADULTS £3.00, CHILDREN FREE, NTS/NT FREE No need to book.
.
Also on Saturday there is the Zombie Walk starting at Wimpy park and travelling to Hawkhill community centre. Tickets are £1 and start time is 7pm finishing at 9pm. The team at Rhona McCallum Hair think they know a few of the zombies that might be there to scare you!
The First Friday market starts on 4th November on the High Street in Alloa Town Centre from 10am to 4pm. There will be a selection of hot food, produce, artisan craft stalls and a local charity stall, most definitely worth a visit to support this monthly event.
On Nov 5th there is Sparks in the Park at West End park, an evening of fun and fireworks. Gates open at 6pm and tickets are £5 for adults and £4 for kids.
Remember, if you have animals that are scared of the noises, playing classical music helps soothe them.
November 9 @ 11:00 am – 1:30 pm there is a free wreath making class at ‘Give a dog a bone’ 13-15 Mar Street, Alloa, Clackmannanshire.
The Travelling Gallery will be visiting the Alloa Hub on Friday the 11th of November from 10am-4pm. There will be pavement access for wheelchairs and subtitles/audio. This is a great opportunity to see some art, and, to make it even better, there is free entry.
November 26 is the Alloa Christmas lights switch on, with live entertainment and lots of family fun! Fun fair face painting, Christmas market, Santa & much more.
There will be performances by: Forefront Stage School – Spotlight Theatre – Sauchie Community Choir and Alloa Bowmar Pipe Band
the event will be hosted by Big Al and the funfair will open at 11am. The Bowmar Pipe Band will lead Santa up the High Street at 1pm. Lights are expected to be switched on at 4.30pm. It’s going to be a fun-filled, festive day!
And last but by no means least, the winter market is scheduled for Nov 27th at The Old brewery from 12pm till 6pm.
As always there is so much happening and it’s fabulous to see so many people support these events in our community.
