Forth Valley Art Beat
Are you looking forward to the annual Forth Valley Art Beat.
This incredible ‘art’ showcase along the Forth valley grows year on year and here at Rhona McCallum Hair we are looking forward to seeing as many of the exhibits as we can.
This year there are 58 different artists, collectives, studios, and creative organisations involved and they cover all of Central Scotland.
Venues begin showcasing from Saturday June 10th until Sunday June 18th and there is a myriad of different works to be admired.
Here in Alloa we have two exciting exhibitions:
Eva Askham-Spencer is a BA Fine Artist living in Alloa. Her exhibition during FVAB will include a selection of original paintings, painted stones, painted wood slices, power poems, & photography. Click here for Eva’s Website
The Wee Gallery on Candleriggs exhibitors include Janice Headrick and Bobby Rennie. Janice uses the skills developed over years at Catterline to interpret local scenes. Bobby is a visual artist who has used all mediums and surfaces from wood to clothing. His current focus is on realist landscapes that evolve into surrealist abstract works. Whilst we appreciate art is a very subjective topic, we all have our own taste, likes and dislikes, nonetheless we believe that this exhibition, one of the largest in Scotland, is an important part of The Central Belts’ focus on showcasing the rich array of talent we have on our doorstep.
