It’s official, one of the world’s most famous, favourite, and culturally significant hairstyles is back!

Jennifer Aniston’s ‘Friends’ haircut has been resurrected by none other than the lady herself. Playing Rachel gave Jennifer the opportunity to showcase new styles frequently throughout the 10 seasons, but the classic ‘Rachel’ cut took on a life of its own and became the must have hairstyle when it made its first appearance in 1995 and here we are 29 years later, and she has gone back to it… albeit with a 2024 twist.

We predict that this new version is going to be a big hit this year, once the weather warms up and we start going out with hair blow-dried rather than tucked into a woolly hat, our thoughts are that the #Rachel24 is going to be huge.

But why is it back, what makes this particular style so timeless?

Well, similar in a way to the classic Princess Di look that everyone wanted, and that is still popular all these years later. This style is so flexible, it suits most hair types, fine, thick, coarse, all can be styled with ease. It can also be created in short, medium, and long versions; the layers help create the overall effect be it on any length. It also suits most face shapes because the softness of the layers is very flattering.

And finally, and for us, one of the most significant facts is the colour, or should we say colours. Classic highlights are scattered through the hair to add shine and texture, then darker blondes, toffee and caramel shades are woven through to create depth and body.
