2025 haircut predictions
As we draw ever closer to the end of 2024, fashion magazines and celebrity hair stylists have started looking at what we can expect to see as big hair trends for the start of 2025.
We have picked four upcoming statements that we think will be popular with you, our (always) on-trend clients.
Playful Pieces
This ‘micro’ style can be adapted to suit every haircut, regardless of length and style. Soft, wispy outlines framing the face that give hair an unstructured feel. This technique has been used for ever when styling hair up as the tendrils add a soft feel to the hair. We predict that these ‘playful pieces’ will be big news, especially when coloured to contrast with the overall shades in the hair, one or two levels lighter to create an extra element of softness to the look.
Making Waves
2025 will be all about the bounce and waves. The big difference here is that curls and waves will be softer in their overall look. Our signature beachy waves fit this bill perfectly, but with a slight update. Instead of the waves being concentrated through the mid lengths flattening out as they get to the ends of the hair, the waves (and curls) will be more uniform throughout the look. Suitable for hair that is shoulder length and longer.
Return of the Bob
Does the bob ever go out of fashion? We don’t think so, but the word on the street is that it’s going to be returning in its purest form, one length, hitting the shoulders and straight, but it will be styled to look as though it has been slept on, with a few kinks here and there, creating a dishevelled feel to the classic shape.
The Fringe Effect
This one is for the brave and adventurous. Baby bangs, or micro short fringes are going to be the bold statement for the New Year. Whatever style your hair is, whatever length it might be, adding a short, cropped fringe creates a new dynamic to the shape and style, transforming every haircut into a bold statement. Not for everyone, but for those who like to stand out from the crowd, the micro fringe, the tiny little bangs, are the trend to embrace.
